The agreement was made official by Executives VM Kallioniemi (SAWO) and DI Friedrich Niederndorfer, MBA (ABATEC), on March 25th 2010. SAWO, Inc and ABATEC Electronic AG celebrate the launch of the new corporate brand “SAWOTEC”. Both companies will act as a global provider of complete sauna wellness solutions with an original, high-tech edge thanks to SAWO’s originality, innovation and extensive experience in the design and manufacture of Finnish sauna products, as well as ABATEC’s well-defined knowledge in electronics. SAWO and ABATEC are the ideal partners in providing innovative technologies such as modern “touch-screen” controls, LED colour lamps, intelligent sauna heaters combined with fancy extras such as music. Customers may enjoy a technology-enhanced sauna experience to suit their individual preferences. SAWO and ABATEC aim to promote a strong future in sauna technology and research excellence, continuing to provide new and existing customers with the high quality of product they expect. Abatec will be responsible of distribuiton of SAWOTEC product range throughout EU countries with some exceptions. SAWO will assume distribution of SAWOTEC wellness products throughout the rest of the world with some exceptions. Among the many advantages of centralized distribution of the SAWOTEC brand in Europe are that customers may acquire more readily available products in more flexible quantities. The Austrian based ABATEC will act as a fundamental service centre for SAWOTEC products in Europe providing comprehensive support for all customers. SAWOTEC incorporates technological innovations from ABATEC and the former Ondal product line as well as new and existing SAWO products. The co-operation of the two wellness technology companies enables ABATEC and SAWO to take advantage of worldwide synergetic effects and many advantages for customers arise from the fusion of the companies.
